What Exactly is LED Technology

Written on August 27, 2020 in Technology

Before, LED lights were used as signals or indicators of a certain device. It is only recently that LED is seen the potential to be more useful. Only those who are on the field of electronics have a background on what is LED technology is, it is also important for everyone to at least know what is LED technology and where is it used. Nowadays, our generation is getting more advanced and innovations are taking place. LED technology is not exempted of these advancements because LEDs are now applied on some appliances or lighting system to better serve its user. With that fact stated, someone who is using a device with LED on it as an indicator would not even know what it is called. This article will give brief information about what is LED technology.

What is LED technology? LED stands for light-emitting diodes. That alone can set our minds to spin. A LED simply means a solid device that changes electrical energy into the light of a one colored bulb. Here are important facts about LED that you need to know: LED consumes less energy so its energy source can be from portable battery or from a solar source, LED are small bulbs that is resistant to shock and even vibrations, LED has a great color resolution and it is not shock risk.

New technologies such as flat screens utilize LED technology to enhance the quality of the images. Why do you think LED technology improves image quality? This is because LED has a great color resolution which allows it to produce a more vibrant and brighter color on your flat screen. Even the pocket sized gadgets that use LCD technology are backlit by LED. This is how important LED technology is to us. From a simple device indicator to a more sophisticated and advance use of technological innovation.

The idea of using LED as a backlight was first implemented in the year 1990s by gaming devices, personal digital assistant or the PDA and cellphone displays. This successful idea of using LED technology to support hand-held devices made it possible to create the famous mp4 players. This technology led the way to the introduction of more digital devices as what we are using now. This is why it is important to know LED monitor technology and acknowledge the benefits that we are enjoying now.

LED technology is applied in making of high definition screen that will excite every viewer who is watching. LED allows the screen to brighten to let the graphics be visible to the viewer who is watching. LED technology allows a bigger screen and great color resolution. This makes the video or image quality more natural and vivid compared to the old television model. With LED supporting home theater components, every movie or game is an experience worth enjoying.

Today, most technology-related companies like Samsung, ASUS, ACER, SONY, Sharp and many more are creating there own model of LED powered devices to compete against new generations of LED supported devices.

Conclusion

The dual monitor technology is now on peak. People who require better and wider screen for their work, go for the best dual monitor setup for gaming. The price of the setup is comparatively higher to those computers that are ultra wide and this is the reason why most people do not consider worth it. It is necessary to know everything about setup before you actually buy it.

IPhones Wants Your Content!

Written on March 10, 2020 in Technology

Apple and Steve Jobs just took a big step to becoming the new standard for Rich Media (music/video/games/pictures) mobile applications. They’ve opened up the doors to you…independent “Content” developers. As I’ve been writing for years, Content is king. Why do you watch TV? Because of what’s on it…Content! Why would you buy an iPhone…Because Of What’s On It!

That being said, iPhone has become the hottest tech gadget since the invention of the desktop computer, capturing 28% of the US market. Making it number 2 behind RIM’s Blackberry. Well Jobs wants to change that and has just unveiled a developer program that includes all three components of tech entrepreneurial success; money, software, and hardware.

  • Money:

Silicon Valley venture capital firm announces a $100 million iFund to foster the new iPhone developer platform and encourage independent developers and entrepreneurs to build new programs for the iPhone. (see

http://www.kpcb.com/initiatives/ifund/index.html)

  • Software:

Apple unveils an impressive suite of iPhone developer tools built around their default web browser Safari. Job’s claims that a working knowledge of modern web standards is all that’s needed to code up custom iPhone goodies. (see http://developer.apple.com/internet/safari)

  • Hardware:

The Apple iPhone, introduced less than a year ago, already holds almost of a third of the smart phone market share. It’s 3.5-inch widescreen color display is the ultimate way to watch Rich Media

(music/video/games/pictures) or access Net-based applications on a pocketable device. (see http://www.store.apple.com/iphone)

Now if all that wasn’t good enough, here is the clincher… Starting in June, iPhone will market your content through iTunes and the iPhone itself. Yes you heard me right. Starting this summer, Apple will start advertising all the new movies, games, music, business applications, and other functions that only an iPhone can do.

In this new e-commerce solution, Rich Media will be marketed, sold, paid for, and downloaded entirely though a single mobile device….the iPhone. Developers will get to choose the price for their applications and content, with the split being 70/30 of the purchase price. Apple gets 30% and you get 70. It don’t get better then that!

The Apple iPhone is predicted to sell 10 million units this year, and is looking at (with the advent of this new developers program) capturing one percent of global mobile-phone market. Totaling about 1 billion devices this year, according to Jobs. Do you want access to this growing market? Now’s your chance.

As always I’m advising all Black independent film makers, game developers, music producers, authors, and dot.com wanna-be’s to jump on this opportunity. I’m not going to go into how Black are the biggest consumers, multimedia users, content creators and market in the country…if you need data or convincing on any of that, just review my past stories on technology by Googling my name.

I’m just going to end by saying…we as the creators of American Pop culture need to start reaping the full fruits of our labors and stop accepting the crumbs off the table. So if you don’t know…Now You Know!

We Must Share The Knowledge (Network)…To Share The Dollars!
